Rascals & Rogues

Rascals & Rogues is the zany house band at the New York Renaissance Faire, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the the April 13 & 14, 2019 Canticles for Life Programs!
Rascals & Rogues was founded in 2012 by Director Daniel Pivovar, a long time performer at NYRF and former member of the band’s predecessor, The Stags of Sherwood. After 2 years without any male singing group at NYRF, he wanted to put together a fun, talented group of guys as a way to compliment the amazing all female group, The Sirens of Sterling.

R&R as they became fondly known, soon found itself growing and thriving. In 2014, J. Robert Coppola (also formerly of The Stags of Sherwood) took over the reins, R&R gained a fantastically talented group of new recruits to join the fray.

With old favorites like “Heiland Laddie” and “The Minstrel Boy”, new standards like “The Bear and The Maiden Faire” and “The Donnybrook Affair”, and even hilarious originals like “God and the Little Children” and “The Irish Lad Who Played In F”, R&R is still surging forward (if a little zig-zagged) and shows no signs of slowing down!
